About Ariel

Ariel Argueso is a Licensed and Board Certified Creative Art Therapist, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and Credentialed Family Development Practitioner and Specialist. She has worked with youth, teens, adults, and families for over 10 years. Ariel has private practice and community-based experience with a variety of populations such as clients who struggle with life transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, foster care placement and/or history, family reunification, parenting, abandonment, domestic abuse/violence, self-harm & suicidal ideation, ADHD, anger management, and grief.

Currently, alongside her private practice, Ariel works in community-based programming through a social service agency in Brooklyn, NY, where she developed a Creative Art Therapy program for at-risk youth and families. Additionally, she has contributed to publications such as Complicated Grief, Attachment, and Art Therapy, edited by Briana MacWilliam, and Parenting Magazine.

Ariel provides individual, group, and family therapy, and does on-site creative art therapy and health coaching demos and workshops, staff burnout prevention sessions, and creative team-building workshops for local facilities and organizations. Additionally, she offers supervision for limited-permit holders working towards licensure as well as licensed and board-certified professionals.

Ariel is empathic, motivated, compassionate, and provides a positive outlook throughout treatment. She believes in the healing powers of creativity, balance, goal setting, self-awareness, and presence, and will work with you to create and achieve attainable goals!
